Welcome Back, Lepoards! Longfellow Elementary kicked off our back-to-school season with an amazing first day of school! Each year, the first day is full of excitement for students, staff, and families, and we can't wait to see what you do this year!

Let's give a round of applause to Longfellow! 👏 They faced the wild! Longfellow students conquered the MN Zoo's ZOOMS Design Challenge, winning the Conservation Award. 🐯 The ZOOMS STEM Design Challenge presented by Flint Hills Resources offers students a chance to develop a solution to a ‘real’ problem faced by Zookeepers and staff at the Minnesota Zoo. From designing an enrichment to building a model of a renovated animal exhibit, the problem will challenge students to use their science and math knowledge, creativity, problem-solving, and research skills during the engineering design process to best solve the problem and present a solution.

Congratulations to our Longfellow 5th grade team for being awarded 1st place for "Conservation Idea" from the Minnesota Zoo!
It’s FREE tree time! Safe Routes to Schools is partnering with Neighborhood Forest to provide free trees for kids to plant during Earth Week 2025. 🌎🌲 Parents/guardians, sign your child up for a free tree by March 15th! Longfellow families, a reminder that Longfellow is in session this Friday, January 24. Please note that:
➡️ There will be no "hub bussing."
➡️ Longfellow bus route will run as usual.
➡️ There will be no Boys and Girls Club.
